3ds Max Indie is now available in a lot more countries, check here to see if yours is on the list. The 3ds Max Indie license is $250 (or equivalent), it has no limitations and to qualify your gross revenue needs to be under $100,000 per year.

Use the Cloth Modifier to Create Pillows in 3ds Max
Here is a video to demonstrate how to add pillows to a sofa so they sit naturally. Using gravity and cloth we can easily have cushions that sit nicely on a sofa in 3ds Max.
